Position Summary

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the QA labs. Through supervision of lab associates, you will ensure compliance to quality standards, specifications and requirements. As the factory subject matter expert in sensory testing, you will oversee the hands-on assessment of ingredients, in-process product and finished product. You will promote continuous improvement as it pertains to quality and safety, the core of Nestlé Purina culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the chemistry and sensory lab personnel and daily operations, including but not limited to annual planning, hiring, training, scheduling, attendance, and managing employee performance, development and discipline
  • Promote safety and good laboratory practices (GLP) among all QA personnel and ensure adherence to the behavioral-based safety program, internal control plans and quality monitoring schemes
  • Serve as the factory’s sensory subject matter expert, provide applicable training to lab associates, and lead panel reviews
  • Represent the quality department in operational reviews and track achievement as it pertains to factory key performance indicators
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement within factory and laboratory processes
  • Purchase supplies to maintain adequate inventory for efficient lab operations

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of experience working in a quality, food manufacturing, laboratory, military or related role

OR

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or related scientific discipline and 1+ years of experience working in a quality, food manufacturing, laboratory, military or related role

The approximate pay range for this position is $73,000 – $92,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
