QA Test Engineer Roles and Responsibilities
• QA Tester – Salesforce will perform the below responsibilities:
• Participate in define and refinement activities to ensure full understanding of client requirements prepared by the project team.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, problem triage, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects through to resolution.
• Ensure full traceability between test scripts, results, and client requirements.
• Coordinate closely with a development team, collaborating as early in the software development process as possible.
• Coordinate testing efforts across teams including offshore to ensure delivery of high-quality features.
• Work closely with developers, stakeholders, and product owner to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements.
• Attend & manage Defect Triage calls.
• Assist in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability.
• Champion knowledge-sharing and documentation across teams

Required Skills/ Experience
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/DevOps development methodology.
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the Organization’s success.
• Understanding of API Testing and API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, MuleSoft, Tosca APIScan) is a plus.
• Analytical thinker, Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines and demonstrates problem-solving skills.
• Proven verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with automation frameworks. Experience writing and maintaining automated tests and experience with a variety of automation frameworks.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues, document and prioritize findings.
• Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (functional API and automated testing)
• Experience in creating testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk.

Preferred Qualifications

Tricentis Tosca experience.

Experience using the Postman tool.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 4+ years’ experience

Work Authorization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$80,000 – $99,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
