This is a hybrid position and can be primarily based in any of the following US office locations: Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN or Greenwood Village, CO. A role you will love
The Quality Automation Engineer role is responsible for undertaking functional software testing to ensure that the level of quality delivered aligns with the organizational risk appetite. In addition, this role will create, prepare and implement system quality assurance reviews for numerous applications.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for delivery of Test Analysis, Design, Implementation & Execution activities to assess functional suitability of software delivered.
- Solicits feedback in order to clarify/understand requirements and to draw out implied requirements.
- Performs and applies risk analysis to assess likelihood and impact of software failure to define the optimum breadth and depth of test coverage.
- Uses formal test design techniques to translate requirements into clearly-defined, prioritised test cases.
- Ensures clear traceability between requirements / acceptance criteria and test cases.
- Utilizes recognized test management tools to prepare and execute test cases.
- Recognizes and logs valid defects in the relevant test / defect management tools.
- Utilizes test repositories & automation assets to reduce the amount of test preparation & execution effort required.
- Test execution – accurately executes tests, comparing actual results with those expected.
- Test Data Setup – accurately sets up test data to enable execution of testing.
- Static testing – undertakes reviews to identify defects / ambiguities in requirements, designs, specifications & test cases.
- Performs exploratory testing – defining test charters to give direction and purpose, understanding what information to capture and providing feedback to team on completion.
What will you bring to the role?
- Minimum of 3 years of automation or regression testing experience
- Experience designing and implementing solutions for test automation using Selenium and Java
- Scripting and automation experience
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL server, or Teradata
- Agile experience and experience working with Agile tools
- Experience with Test Planning, Test Status Reporting and Test Preparation
- Webservice testing

Compensation.The base pay range for this role is $85,000 – $110,000 per year USD. This base pay range is specific to Denver, CO and may not be applicable to other locations.
