Quality Engineer 2

Description

The Quality Engineer 2 carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The Quality Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer 2 performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers. Performs complex work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Leads agile testing teams and offshore testing resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • More than 2 years of technical experience including Agile methodology. SAFe Agile preferred.
  • Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISTQB certification
  • SAFe Agile Certification
  • Bilingual: Spanish
  • Performance/Load testing experience

Additional Information

This position will require an ISTQB and SAFe Agile Certification within one year of employment.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$71,500 – $98,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
