Job Summary:
The Quality Hold and RMA Technician provides support to the quality leads, engineers, and RMA admin by maintaining the quality hold cage and que of RMA material. The individual will be responsible for enacting dispositions on non-conforming material after MRB and closing QNs, determining dispositions of non-conforming material through experimentation or testing when necessary, leading/orchestrating sorting activities, verifying/receiving returned material from customers, and managing the flow of RMA material through the root cause analysis process.
Responsibilities:
- Receive Returned Material
- Verify and process returned materials from customers in accordance with RMA procedures.
- Document incoming RMA material accurately and report discrepancies if any.
- Lead or coordinate sorting activities for RMA material as required.
- Ensure materials are sorted and organized for further analysis or disposition.
- Facilitate the movement of RMA material through the root cause analysis process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for investigations and analysis.
- Assist in MRB and QN Closure:
- Assist in closing Material Review Board (MRB) cases and Quality Notifications (QNs) as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and communication during closure processes.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing leads and Quality engineers to execute material disposition plans.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions based on findings.
Requirements:
- Understanding of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations is essential. Knowledge of shipping carriers, packaging materials, and shipping documentation is important for efficient handling of returned items.
- Troubleshooting products a plus may be necessary to accurately assess defects and issues.
- Proficiency in documenting returned items, reasons for return, and any relevant information is vital for accurate record-keeping and tracking.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Experience with identifying the root cause of product defects or customer complaints and proposing appropriate solutions, such as repairs, replacements, or refunds.
- Experience managing returned products within the warehouse or storage facility, keeping track of quantities, locations, and status (pending inspection, repair, replacement, etc.)
- Strong time management skills, efficiently processing RMAs while adhering to timelines.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using MS Office, inventory management software, email, and other tools for documentation, communication, and tracking.

The U.S. national annual base hourly range for this role is $21.00 – 26.00. The range includes the base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
