Candidate Specification
The ideal candidate will have the following required experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in an engineering related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience of direction with FTA on quality management
- ASQ Certification (Certified Quality Improvement Associate) or must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year of starting the role
- Adept communication and writing skills
- Experience working with SharePoint, Excel, ProjectWise, BIM360 or similar
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
- Familiarity with ISO 9001
Salary Range for the State of NY only: $80,000 – $90,000

Mott MacDonald is looking for professionals to join our ever-expanding Project, Program, and Construction/Commercial Management (PPCM) practice. Mott MacDonald is a multi-disciplined engineering and advisory consultancy, with a significant presence in the West Coast transportation and infrastructure and water/wastewater realm. We are looking to bring on a Quality manager in a full-time position to support our ever-expanding PPCM practice.
Responsibilities of this position will include, but may not be limited to:
- Oversight of processes and best practice for quality management on large projects/programs
- Providing expert knowledge of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) quality requirements
- Reporting to federal and state agencies
- Plan and perform QA oversight surveillances and audits within the North American region, including tasks such as pre-audit activities; conducting audits (meetings & interviews); preparation of reports; and performing post-audit follow-ups
- Provide leadership and direction for Quality management on large projects, who will be performing the following tasks:
- Support establishing, managing, maintaining, and implementing the Quality Policy and Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and quality procedures in accordance with ISO 9001
- Assemble and distribute Project Quality Compliance Reports
- Procurement and Contract Package Support
- Collaborate and coordinate with Contract Package teams, Team Leads, and Document Control Teams to provide support for quality-related activities
- Support and develop quality program training and awareness to the project team
- Provide quality assurance oversight of the project/program design team
- Assess and provide quality requirements in procurement documents
- Perform QA certifications for work product documents
- Track and monitor work product development during Quality Planning through QC
- Perform QA certifications (including reviews of contract package documents) (using established SharePoint Deliverables Review)
- Determine nonconformances findings, issue corrective action requests (when warranted, and monitor the effectiveness of Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPA) and measures
- Identify and assess critical quality-related issues and implement preventive measures
- Development, review, and maintenance of Project Quality Records
