Quality Specialist

As a Quality Specialist, you will report directly to the Quality Director and will complete routine activities to monitor and coordinate the project quality program. This position will be responsible for reviewing documents, attending meetings, conducting walk-through inspections and investigating non-compliant conditions. You will also be responsible for coordinating, documenting and reporting quality control and quality assurance activities and performing quality control inspections and tests and for providing required documentation for the assigned areas or disciplines on a project.

What you’ll do as the Quality Specialist:

  • Support and comply with the overall documentation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Logistics Organization’s Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS)
  • Support the process that controls procedures, records and other QEMS system
  • Drive all Quality & Environmental Management System requirements of the customer, internal ZONES processes, ISO 9001 & 14001, and regulatory/legal
  • Ensure the QEMS are compliant with all applicable requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, and other standards as required by the Logistics Organization
  • Responsible for supporting the ISO Auditors as directed by the Quality Director
  • Maintain certification to the current version of ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements
  • Drive Corrective and Preventative Action process, and Customer Satisfaction process for the Kent location
  • Ensure customer facing issues are logged and appropriate root cause analysis driving continuous improvement is done
  • Perform daily WHS inspections and GEMBA walks to drive process and safety compliance

What you’ll bring as the Quality Specialist:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 6 Six Sigma certification a plus
  • Experience to ISO requirements and supporting certifications
  • Process documentation writing skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Production processes, quality management, and control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods
  • Proficiency with excel, database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively alone and is flexible to handle changes in priorities
  • Highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $24.00 – $26.00 hourly.
  • Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Washington area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
