We are looking for an engaging people leader with a passion for Food Safety & Quality to join our team in Othello as a Quality Supervisor! If you thrive on change and continuous improvement, enjoy identifying efficiencies and motivating others to do the same, this might be the position for you!

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supervising daily functions of QC personnel, ensuring products meet quality standards through verification and reviews, assisting plant teams with daily functions, as related to product quality and food safety. You will also be responsible for the selection, training, and supervising of Quality leads and Quality technicians. Additionally, you will participate in the continuous improvement process, providing your expertise in improvements that may impact or affect Food Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and leads in company safety work rules and regulations.
  • Guide and mentor, the Quality Control Technicians, Quality Control Leads, Quality Control Coordinator, and Bacteria Technicians and ensure performance is accurate and in compliance with established procedures.
  • Participates in continuous improvement process.
  • Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
  • Research and answer customer complaints.
  • Prepare product cuttings, data collection, report analysis, & lead safety meetings on monthly basis.
  • Communicates and collaborates with other production supervisors with any problems or changes in department and policies.
  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process
  • Ensures working areas are clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Business Administration
  • 2 years of Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred
  • Microbiology Experience an asset
  • Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) experience an asset
  • Champion of Change
  • Able to coach, mentor, and develop team members

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 USD annually + Benefits (+ 6% TIP Bonus)

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, exact compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
