This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Quality Control Technician. This position is located at our Fall River, MA site.
In our continuous improvement culture focusing on keeping the customer at the center of everything we do, we are posting an opening for a CAL technician for the NOVO Assembly line at our Fall River plant. The positions will focus on testing NOVO washers after the assembly process to ensure product complies with quality standards as well as running and/or supporting investigations to root cause issues and implement countermeasures. Applicants must have at least 6 months of quality experience or proven attention to detail to apply.
Work shift: 1st (4:45am – 1:15pm) overtime & Saturdays as-required.
Hourly Rate: $25.00
Your responsibilities will include
- Responsible for testing novo units following the CAL process
- Perform open and inspect inspection routine
- Perform CAL investigations and report on findings and countermeasures.
- Support assembly inspection and audits.
- Inventory control physically and in spreadsheets
- Communicate key issues and support root cause analysis
- Act as the first step in the help chain.
- Provide daily documentation of key metrics and information.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and record performance
Minimum requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years experience working in a Manufacturing or Quality Environment
Preferred skills and experiences
- Problem solving and critical thinking to understand potential issues on the product from a customer perspective and potential solutions.
- Organization skills for different tasks and data collection.
- Ability to follow step by step processes and work well with others.
- Ability to lead by example and make timely business decisions.
- Basic computer skills
