Quant Modeling Lead

Job Description

Duties: Develop, implement and test advanced quantitative models that help clients drive key decisions. Contribute to enhancing the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk program. Extract large volumes of data from multiple data sources and transform the data into an analysis ready format using Structured Query Language. Translate business problems into quantitative/ analytical action items and communicate technical and quantitative model results in forms easily understood by the business audience. Prototype code and work across various programming languages. Visualize and identify high risk networks buried in big data by leveraging the power of graph database. Prepare technical documentation of JPMC’s quantitative models for review by the firm’s Model Review Group and Government Regulators (CRaD). Create intuitive charts and dashboards to help better visualize data. Utilize Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning models to classify and extract information from unstructured text data, such as eCommunications, customer complaints, regulatory engage documents with high Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk. Develop and use statistical models and testing methods to understand, explain, and predict risk events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: PhD degree in Computational Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 1 (One) year of experience in the job offered or as Quant Modeling, Quant Analytics, Compliance Officer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computational Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field of study plus 3 (Three) years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Modeling, Quant Analytics, Compliance Officer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Statistical and data analytical techniques; Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Statistical Modeling; Translating business themes into quantitative and analytical action items; Statistical tools including SAS, Python, R, and MATLAB; Data mining tools including Tableau, Spotfire, and Qlikview; SQL; Software engineering principles for production of robust code; Assimilating large amounts of data from multiple databases including Oracle, Teradata, Hive and Impala, and creating output; Creating networks using graph database Neo4j and cypher; Adhering to a standardized analysis and project methodology; and Documenting quantitative analysis.

Job Location: 480 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $165,000.00-$205,000.00 per year.
