Job Description

As a new member of our team, you will help us understand how businesses and individuals make decisions about purchases and behaviors that impact their energy use by collecting and analyzing data, maintaining our large, complex data models, and creating text and visualizations to report findings. You are a critical thinker with a couple of years of experience analyzing large sets of data and have become a master at advanced formulas and VBA coding in Excel and also share our passion for clean energy and sustainability. Spend your days:

  • Preparing and maintaining large, complex data models in Excel – energy program forecasts, savings, and cost
  • Collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing energy consumption or device data from multiple sources
  • Reporting results – organizing, summarizing and visualizing findings into understandable charts, graphs and infographics for client presentations
  • Supporting tasks across multiple projects to support all aspects of the research process
  • Assisting with marketing activities, including RFPs, newsletters, and company communications
  • Managing budgets and tasks to keep the projects on track
  • Reinforcing our commitment to clients and always being mindful of their satisfaction

Qualifications

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics or engineering and 2+ years of experience in data analysis, market or product research – energy efficiency and clean energy program exposure will catch our attention!
  • Mastery of Excel and the ability to code in VBA and advanced formulas such as INDEX/MATCH/SUMIFs, pivot tables, charts, and figures
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to articulate your ideas in a variety of contexts and to a range of audiences
  • Intellectual curiosity – a mind that’s always looking for themes and patterns across multiple data sources, developing hypotheses about what might explain them
  • Naturally self-directed, organized, and capable of working independently within the team environment
  • Passion for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and optimizing our energy resources!
