DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Conduct quantitative research on the Central Risk Book trading desk. Build and continuously improve quantitative solutions and trading strategies, drive the implementation of centralized live data service, build risk and profit and loss analytics tools, advance JPMC’s risk/pricing solutions, and design data-driven processes to automate and optimize trading. Work closely with Central risk traders to monitor inventory, and engage with senior stakeholders and leaders in Equities Cash Risk businesses. Use real-time and historical data to optimize performance of systematic trading and hedging strategies, facilitate and improve internalization and best execution of client flows, conduct portfolio optimization and risk management using multi-factor models, develop and back-test signals for automated trading, and perform order flow analysis. Interact daily with trading, technology and production support teams to maximize benefits of centralized risk consolidation and management for clients and the entire equities franchise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 (Three) years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Researcher, Quantitative Analyst, Equities Strategy Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Quantitative Researcher, Quantitative Analyst, Equities Strategy Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience with the following: Working in mid and low-frequency equities cash systematic trading and high-frequency algorithmic trading; Market microstructure of global equities and futures markets; Developing Trading Cost Models for global equities and futures; Time series analysis; Alpha generation; Conducting signal research; Backtesting for futures and US listed equities such as spread, volume or price signals using level 2 market data; KDB+ or q; Python; Pandas; R; Bloomberg; Tableau; Statistics; Optimization; Machine learning; Bayesian inference; and Regression. Requires licenses in the following: FINRA Series 7 or Series 7 TO; FINRA Series 63; and FINRA Series 57 or Series 57TO.

Full-Time. Salary: $215,000 – $285,000 per year.
