This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting. Tasks for this position must be performed on-site.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Range Operations with developing and maintaining procedures to clearly describe current, approved procedures, performance standards, reporting and documentation requirements, and deviation procedures for all positions
  • Monitor workflow to ensure on time delivery of products associated with launch operations and analysis
  • Assist with initiatives to improve the quality, efficiencies, and timeliness of enterprise solutions, products or services
  • Maintain situational awareness of all program/government/agency/range mission requirements and constraints
  • Operate VISION support for launches
  • Represent VISION at all pre / post launch meetings for supported missions
  • Support enterprise standardization collaboration in the development of operating processes and procedures for VISION
  • Maintain enterprise standardization collaboration in the development of operating processes and procedures
  • Prepare and provide progress, status reports, and briefings as assigned to inform management of potential negative performance issues, and improvement initiatives
  • Assist with Range Operations Service Summary Item (SSI) scoring and post-mission analysis
  • Ensure compliance with RGNext Quality Assurance program requirements, standards, and participate in RGNext and government improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in Range Operation and System Capability assessments while targeting potential efficiencies and assessing risk
  • Maintain procedures and work instructions in accordance with applicable LISC Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)
  • Support Range Operations data collection and root cause analysis for Corrective and Preventative Analysis Report (CAPAR) and Corrective Action Request (CAR) responses
  • Track and populate current mission data in alignment with the launch schedules Coordinate and track Launch Performance Analyst (LPA) training and mission support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with the customers, management, peers, and subordinates

Required Experience

  • BA/ BS in a technical, business, operations research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience of Western Range operations or an analytical nature equivalent preferred
  • Knowledgeable on Vandenberg SFB functions, assets, launch, maintenance, and engineering inter-relationships, preferred
  • Understand basic Western and Eastern Range Operations concepts, launch maintenance, engineering inter-relationships.
  • Understand RGNext launch planning, execution, and generation lifecycle including general inputs, outputs, staffing requirements, associated instrumentation, scheduling, and timelines including those required by the Universal Documentation System
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to travel as required (less than 10%).
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The salary range for this role is $71,800 to $112,376 however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
