Summary
A R&D Technician will join our Product Team of technicians, engineers, and scientists to conduct all R&D experiments including electrode evaluation, cell assembly and cell test. The candidate must be reliable and able to communicate with engineers to conduct the projects as requested.
Job Responsibilities
- Use small equipment and hand tools to produce components and battery cells.
- Operate large equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure materials with micrometer, mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper
- Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
- Input data into quality management software
- Assemble components into a physically complete cell
Requirements
- Ability to perform work in cleanroom, dry room, or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching, and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Required Education and Experience
- At least one year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.
- U.S. work authorization is required.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
- Move items up to 20 lbs.
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Fremont, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred). This is an on-site job.
Salary: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
