This job contributes to Starbucks success by collaborating with Store Development Managers within a region while leading the existing store portfolio renewal workload; developing/executing existing store strategy and leading the lease negotiations for renewals, terminations and non-renewal amendments to maximize the profitability of the portfolio.

As a Real Estate Manager, existing store portfolio, you will…

  • Manage existing store portfolio of approximately 1200 – 1700 locations.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic plan in partnership with regional Real Estate decision-makers and Market Planning to optimize the existing store portfolio and communicate to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison to regional Real Estate partners works directly with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Market Planning, Store Development Finance, Lease Portfolio Management, Financial Lease Administration, Capital Lease Accounting, Licensed Stores and Operations teams.
  • Collect data, coordinate existing stores market planning process, strategy, and work closely with Real Estate Support Services in order to execute all aspects of anticipated renewals, non-renewal agreements, remodels, requested relocations/expansions or potential closures.
  • Conduct ad-hoc portfolio analysis and due diligence; compile integrated market strategy report.
  • Point of escalation working with internal stakeholders for resolution of existing store issues and/or represent the company on local jurisdictional issues.
