About this Position
In this role you will supervise and administer all facets of real estate including right-of-way property acquisition including valuation, negotiation, relocation, mediation, title and condemnation; right-of-way vacation and property disposition of surplus property; and easement convenience.
Position Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Salary: $65,436.80 annually to commensurate with experience

Examples of Essential Duties
- Manages schedules and workload of Real Estate Services team
- Supervises the work of assigned personal including reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations
- Represents Real Estate Services team at coordination meetings with Public Work Engineering Program Managers (Sewer Utility, Paving for Progress, CIP) to integrate overall capital project delivery including Real Estate
- Represents Real Estate Services team at disposition/property vacation evaluation meetings with City-wide review committees
- Manages consultants of external real estate support services, including negotiating scope, schedule and fee for proposed contracts, recommending approval of work plans, and managing associated work plan delivery
- Reviews and recommends consultant invoices for payment
- Reviews and approves documents for City Council Meetings
- Plans and coordinates internal audit on real estate transactions
- Performs related work as required
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, real estate, finance, civil engineering, or related field, and
- Three (3) years to five (5) years experience in or professional experience real estate transactions, right-of-way management, and/or municipal capital project development or
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Valid. U.S. Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in Project Management, International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA) Right-of-Way Agent Certification
- Supervisory experience
