Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a talented and solutions-oriented Reality Capture Manager to contribute to delivering transformational innovation to the business. As the Reality Capture Manager, you will lead a team of BIM and Field Engineers to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of automation deployment for Amazon’s fulfillment network. This role includes the following responsibilities:
• Manage a growing team of 10+ BIM and Field Engineers
• Establish process metrics, standards and best practices for 3D scanning, surveying, 3D modeling, clash detection, and generation of as-built models
• Develop tools and processes to simplify and automate workflows
• Create training programs to onboard and educate BIM and Field Engineers on new tools and processes
• Serve as a Reality Capture subject matter expert in cross-functional robotics deployment programs in order to improve on construction accuracy
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technological developments in 3D scanning and modeling technologies, recommending best options to management based on quantified benefits, costs, and operational impacts
• Build and maintain state-of-the-art database of equipment and facility models, point cloud data, and as-built models
• Perform 3D scanning, 3D modeling, and surveying of physical facilities and equipment and analyze multi-layer engineering models for clash detection

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BS in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Architecture, or equivalent
• Competence in use and application of Autodesk (Revit, ReCap, and BIM360) or equivalent for complex models
• Experience processing point cloud data
• 2+ years of experience as a people manager
• Industrial experience working with cross functional teams and field operations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience as a people manager in the AEC industry
• 5+ years of experience with BIM, LiDAR scanning and/or surveying in construction BIM/AEC

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
