A Receiver Shipper job in Bloomfield, CT is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key aerospace client. In this role you will Material handling, packaging and clerical duties to ship outgoing and receive incoming materials. To be considered you will be a High school graduate or GED, and have 1 or more years of experience. You will follow guided instructions, be motivated, focused on quality, and willing to come to work every day.
Receiver Shipper Responsibilities:
– Material handling, packaging and clerical duties to ship outgoing and receive incoming materials (including hazardous materials), parts and assemblies, castings, forgings, aircraft parts, equipment and product via company vehicles and commercial carriers.
– Load and unload various types of freight from trucks -verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
– Pick up and/or deliver materials, parts, supplies, etc. to designated destinations.
– Maintain currency in shipping regulations and knowledge of hazardous material handling
– Perform clerical duties, such as the record keeping of incoming and outgoing materials and parts. Answer phones. Maintain files. Enter data of shipments into company databases.
Receiver Shipper Requirements:
• High school graduate or GED.
• 1 or more years of experience
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification is a plus
