Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Clerk Responsibilities

  • Receive daily orders of food items
  • Ensure all items are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored and rotated effectively using First in, First out protocol.
  • Monitor temperature of food storage areas and report discrepancies to a supervisor
  • Ensure food storage areas and refrigerators are organized at all times as dictated by DOHMH and DFTA guidelines
  • Complete monthly food inventory with assistance from administrative staff and provide the report to the Director.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Kitchen Aide Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation
  • Maintain condiments and other supplies filled and readily available to use by cooking team.
  • Package and serve meals as needed, within guidelines; assist in the meal expediting process
  • Assist with cooking or dining room service as needed
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, surfaces and dining areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs., reasonable accommodations may be made

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • Some High School coursework; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food handlers license or prior completion of food safety coursework preferred
