Job Description

Our New York City Headquarters is seeking a Receptionist for our expanding team. Our team supports SOCOTEC’s specialized building envelope, sustainability, energy efficiency, code advisory and commissioning groups

  • Meets and greets employees, clients and visitors in a friendly, prompt, professional and efficient manner
  • Answers the phone, screens and routes incoming calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinates with the Administrative team to ensure all guests and meetings are handled professionally and according to specific instructions.
  • Manages building access activity for visitors w internal staff.
  • Checks administrative inbox and ensures all requests are handled in a timely manner (conference room schduleing, meeting coordination, food orders, etc.)
  • Set up Board room technology for Team meetingsevents w IT support
  • Orders food and drinks for meetings, sets up meetings and ensures everything is cleaned up after the meeting is over.
  • Manage kitchen area including coffee replenishment, runningemptying dishwashers, stockingreplenishing drinksfood, etc.
  • Communicates complaints and office issues with key groups (Building Owner, Human Resources, IT, etc.)
  • Takes inventory of marketing materials, communicates with the Marketing department when materials need to be replenished.
  • Organizes and maintains supplies, upkeep and cleanliness of office.
  • Manages building cleaning activity, shippingreceiving and US Mai delivery.
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 to 4 years’ experience in corporate reception/front desk
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctuality a must
  • Basic MS Office and Outlook
  • Polished professional appearance
  • Ability to work 8:30am-5:00pm
  • In office role, this is not a remote position
  • BA/BS degree preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time

Rate Rage: $18hr to $22/hr
