Responsibilities
The primary focus of your role in the development team will focus on virtualizing, containerizing, & securing applications that are currently under development. You will also be responsible for patching our systems with the latest security updates and scanning those systems to assess and document the security posture of those systems and then implement solutions to improve the assessment scores. Security and development practices must be compliant with the DoD’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). This position requires a strong understanding of RHEL, RHEV, and Ansible and the ability to communicate the implications and risks of making changes in those environments.

- Deploy and secure large software systems used by Navy Sailors
- Maintain currency in the latest software technologies
- Work on an agile team providing these services
- Willing to periodically travel in support of government test as new capabilities are delivered
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- BS with 5-7 Years of experience; or equivalent combined experience/education
- In lieu of a Bachelors degree, High School and 9-11 years of experiene can be substituted
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance
- Experience on at least one project through the complete software development lifecycle
- Experience with Linux SW Development technologies
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with RedHat (RHEL) operating systems, Virtualization (RHEV), and automation (Ansible)
- Experience with Micro-service Architecture
- Familiarity working in an Agile development environment adhering to DevOps principals
- Experience with containerization, preferably Docker
- Experience with Infrastructure as code, preferably Ansible
- Strong communication skills and the ability to promote cybersecurity principles to application developer

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
