Job Description

Will support the operations of the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville and/or assist with various athletic events. Greet visitors, direct participants, and/or assist with athletic events in a variety of sports. Will open/close facility and serve as crew lead in absence of facility/program coordinator. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma and interest/experience in related athletic or sporting events. Evenings and weekends required. Pay based on experience and level of responsibility.
Description of Duties

Serves as crew lead in the absence of the facility/program coordinator.

Provides support and oversight with concessions and/or admissions gate areas, performs all assigned duties, and oversees staff performance in these areas.

Reports any staffing issues or performance inconsistencies to building/facility supervisors.

Receives customer orders for food/beverage concession items.

Selects requested food/beverage items from food preparation area, serving area, or storage area; assembles items for delivery to customers; wraps/packages food as appropriate.

Serves cold drinks from beverage dispensers; makes and serves hot beverages.

Calculates amount owed for concession items; charges customers accordingly.

Receives payments for concession items; makes change for cash payments.

Assists in cooking/preparing food items as needed.

Assists in cleaning food service equipment and work areas.

Monitors supply levels of concession and cleaning items; food supplies, beverages, condiments, dishware, paper products, and other supply items; replenishes supplies as needed; initiates requests for new or replacement supplies.

Complies with all applicable food service laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.

Ensures adherence to established safety procedures; utilizes precautionary safety equipment and monitors work environment to ensure safety of employees and other individuals.

Operates a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools; performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep machinery, equipment, and tools in operable condition; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety; reports faulty equipment.

Prepares or completes various forms, correspondence, signs, or other documents.

Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, officials, customers, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

Ability to compile, assembly, copy, record, and/or transcribe data according to a prescribed scheme or plan including judging whether readily observable functional, structural, or compositional characteristics are similar to or divergent from prescribed standards, procedures, or routines.

Ability to exchange information for the purpose of clarifying details within well-established policies, procedures, and standards.

Ability to start, stop, operate, and monitor the functioning of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.

Ability to utilize a variety of reference data and information.

Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

Involves semi-routine standardized work with some latitude for independent judgment concerning choices of action.

Ability to exercise judgment in situations characterized by repetitive or short cycle operations covered by well-established procedures or sequences.

Provides assistance to other employees or departments as needed.

Performs related duties as required, necessary, or assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills,

Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience or equivalent training.

Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, fumes, temperature extremes, machinery, or hot surfaces/substances.

Must be able to use hands, fingers, and arms and lift or move up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.

Supplemental Information
Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort for sedentary to light work but may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight.

Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.

Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, taste, odor, texture, and visual cues or signals.

Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
