Position Information
The City of Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department is looking for part time Recreation Leader III to add to our exciting sports team. This position is the onsite staff lead during various sports activities and assists in training and mentoring peers. The work schedule includes nights and weekends and could work up to 1,000 hours per fiscal year. An ideal candidate is coachable, a quick problem solver, creative and has ability to show good leadership amongst peers. This is a limited service, part time position and you must be able to obtain American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR and AED or equivalent within 90 days of employment

Education and Experience Guidelines
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years customer service experience.

License/Certificate:

  • Possession of a valid California driver’s license
  • Be able to obtain certification in American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR and AED or equivalent within 90 days of employment.

The examination process will consist of:

  • Review of applications for minimum qualifications for the position.

All applicants that pass the examination process will be placed on the eligible list which is good for at least 6 months. This eligible list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill current and future openings in this classification as long as the list is active.
