Position: Recreation Specialist I – Ice Rink (Cashier, Skate Rental, Concessions)
Salary: $12.00 Per Hour

General Description:
The purpose of this job is to assist with recreation programming and facilities in the City of Rock Hill. This position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
Additional Notes:
This position is Seasonal, up to 29 hours per week.
Minimum Training & Experience:
Ability to skate is preferred but not required.
Typical Work Hours:
Tuesday – Friday, 2pm – 9pm
Saturday, 10am – 10pm
Sunday, 12pm – 7pm
Holidays, 10am – 10pm
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers.
- Personally, demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.
- Work is performed on-site the incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide assistance and support to parks and facility daily operations including but not exclusive to safety, programs, concessions, admissions, or special events as needed to meet the goals of the department.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Assists and/or is responsible for opening and closing of parks and facilities.
- Complete daily reports, work requests, and incident reports as required.
- Ability to assist with custodial duties and minor maintenance needs.
- Observes safety rules to maintain safe parks and facilities.
- Participates in cross-training opportunities and performs all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.
Additional Duties:
Completes miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor. Performs related work as assigned.
