These positions are assigned to MWR, Community Recreation Division and will be referred out to LETRA.

Clarification from the agency

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

Duties

  • Develops, manages, maintains, plans and administers outdoor recreation activities programs to support eligible personnel.
  • Develops and executes program budget.
  • Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to recreation programs.
  • Provides a full range of supervisory functions to assigned staff.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

  • Be generally available to work irregular hours, evenings and/or weekends.
  • Perform duties that involve working in an indoor and outdoor environment.

Qualifications

Specialized experience at a level that equipped the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required for successful performance, to include:

Experience in the planning and delivery of outdoor recreation programs to a large, diverse community. Experience in developing or assisting with program budget, providing recreation facility/equipment maintenance, and instructing program participants in the techniques of various recreation activities. Leadership experience gained through supervising or mentoring lower-level staff.
