Description
Serves as the primary college representative to recruit prospective students utilizing a multi-faceted approach to programming. Responsible for the implementation of an annual student recruitment plan for all college markets including the high schools and other target markets. This position will generate, market to, and communicate with prospective students throughout the enrollment process. This position will support and promote recruitment efforts consistent with the annual recruitment plan at community and campus events.
Examples of Duties
A. Demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement and results analysis relative to the student recruitment and intake process, policy, and communication. Collaborates with executive leadership, deans, directors, advisors, recruitment volunteers, students, committee members, and faculty to coordinate recruitment efforts.
B. Manages prospective student populations. Specifically, establishes and maintains liaisons with potential students from area middle and secondary schools and career center. Conducts regular visits to high schools in the targeted area. Presents and coordinates informational programs and tours to students, parents, teachers and all prospective students and groups. Works and collaborates with school administrators, counselors, KCC faculty, and staff to identify opportunities for outreach and information sharing.
C. Builds relationships with prospective students by consistently utilizing personal follow-up communication via mail, social media, texts, web, email, phone, and face-to-face contacts. Submits updated prospect lists, with enrollment tracking, as part of a monthly report.
D. Assists with the implementation and expansion of the college’s customer relationship management (CRM) system. Serves as a support administrator for the customer relationship management system to establish contact with and monitor prospective students through the intake process.
E. Provides enrollment management expertise to help the college address its enrollment needs. Actively serves on the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Recruitment Sub-Committee. Coordinates communication with and provides guidance, updates and feedback to the SEM Committee relative to student recruitment initiatives
F. Maintains thorough and accurate knowledge of KCC programs to answer questions accurately, makes referrals, and effectively presents information about the college’s programs and services. Assists in scheduling and staffing presentations at college fairs and other recruitment events.
G. Assists in the organization and hosting of the annual high school counselors’ day event for high school personnel, Explore KCC Day, area College Fair, and other on-campus recruitment events. Works evening and weekend hours when necessary for recruitment events.
Minimum Qualifications
A. Associate’s degree in a related field required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
B. Public relations, marketing, enrollment management, recruitment, customer service experience preferred.
C. Excellent oral and written communication and motivational skills required.
D. Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Supplemental Information
Salary begins at $42,258/yr.
