Your Impact as a Regional Account Executive Leader for C&I
The Account Executive Leader is responsible for leading talent development and driving growth across the West Region’s Construction & Infrastructure (C&I) teams. This individual will report to C&I’s Regional Managing Director, and will be accountable for delivering retention and rollover goals for each office in the region as well as new business from the local AE teams. By driving office and regional goal achievement, the AE Leader helps the region and Aon US attain aggregate business goals. This role actively promotes the value Aon delivers to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support AE team’s effective alignment with the Aon Leadership Model.
- Educate Account Executives and Account Specialists directly and by assisting with training plans in client management, risk management, insurer interface and Aon resources, processes and tools.
- The Regional AE Leader will help office AE Leaders and AEs secure the appropriate Aon resources to support retention and sales efforts and to assist clients.
- Maintain global standards across solution line including responsibility for portfolio reviews, RFP deal coaching, jeopardy, client planning and articulating value within the C&I team.
- Teaming with Sales & Marketing, drives account management efforts on new and current client sales, including collaboration with originators.
- Raise AE awareness of and skills to introduce all of Aon’s products, services and specialty expertise.
- Lead critical best practice client management efforts including strategic account review, fee discipline and client profitability planning.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for client service teams.
Experience
- Typically at least 10 years of appropriate insurance experience, coupled with managerial ability.
- Strong project and account team management experience, and strong negotiation skills.
- In-depth working knowledge of the insurance business and the assigned clients’ needs as well as all major lines of business.
- Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel. PowerPoint, and outlook is required.
- Evidence of ability to become proficient in the use of Aon specific software tools.
Education
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent, with Construction, Risk and Insurance Management/ Business related curriculum preferred
- Broker License and CPCU, CIC or ARM preferred

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250-350K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
