Position Overview
Assist the college in achieving its enrollment goals within a results-oriented environment through ethical representation of Dunwoody’s academic programs at schools and colleges in the Twin Cities community and beyond. Implement a proactive approach for initiating and maintaining contact with potential students and follow established department procedures to achieve optimum conversion from initial student inquiry to eventual enrollment. Develop partnerships and relationships that will meaningfully contribute to enrollment goals. Lead the articulation process with school partners, and serve as a liaison with department deans and managers.
Position Accountabilities
- In partnership with admissions team, help develop and implement effective recruitment strategies in Twin Cities and outside the suburb ring to achieve enrollment goals.
- Generate and follow-up on potential student inquiries with a sense of urgency to achieve enrollment results.
- Achieve or exceed recruitment goals by converting initial student inquiries into enrollments.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with high schools and community agencies and college networks in order to build a strong pool of prospects and applicants through active recruiting.
- Schedule and/or attend college/career fairs and other “lead-generating” community events as representative of Dunwoody.
- Attend school-wide marketing events as way of promoting Dunwoody to prospective students as needed.
- Provide favorable representation of Dunwoody programs and services to potential student applicants through knowledge of offered programs and college culture.
- Counsel and advise applicants on career options as way of assessing applicants’ fit for Dunwoody programs.
- Initiate and maintain contact and correspondence with student applicants as needed throughout the enrollment process.
- Work closely with students and other Dunwoody departments to ensure any issues related to enrollment, financial aid, and placement are properly resolved.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records on recruiting activities as outlined by established department procedures.
- Help plan, organize and execute successful evening, on-campus or on-site recruiting events for prospective students.
- Represent Dunwoody by attending college/career fairs, high school career centers, and high school speaking engagements for assigned schools/territories.
- Attend trade and industry shows with faculty as needed.
- Assist with the creation and execution of articulation agreements and transfer guides with local and out of area schools.
- Foster a positive and customer-service oriented environment within and between departments of the college.
- Maintain awareness of best practices and sales techniques.

- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access.

- To perform the job successfully, must have adequate knowledge of and willingness to use specialized software such as PowerCAMPUS, Great Plains, Adobe Products, SolidWorks, PowerFAIDS, Canvas, ticketing systems and/or other databases/electronic aids, in order to be as self-sufficient as possible in day-to-day operations. Use and maintain shared network folders to greatly limit reliance on personally stored items and documents.
- While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to use hands to feel or handle/manipulate objects. Frequently required to sit, lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25-50 pounds. Must possess good vision and depth perception. Individual is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to climb stairs, set up/tear down displays, etc. Work is frequently performed inside, with occasional outdoor duties.
- Location: Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled office environment with expectation of 50-75% travel.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree OR
- 2+ years’ experience in recruiting, sales, or related discipline OR
- Experience working in higher education
Other Qualifications:
- Willingness to occasionally travel up to 3-4 days at a time.
- Travel on a self-scheduled basis that revolves around college fairs and high school visits (will require some overnight stays)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
