As a CO+I Regional Datacenter Program Manager, Tooling & Automation you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. As a Regional Datacenter Program Manager, Tooling & Automation you will focus on IT Break Fix operations and provide leadership and direction in establishing program roadmaps, staffing efficiencies, process & tooling improvements, and governance for Datacenter Operations strategy that will support our current and future growth. In this role you will work collaboratively with all CO+I stakeholders to support Availability and Growth for the organization driving excellence in service through industry best practices.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years’ technical program or technical project management experience supporting mission critical IT equipment, operations, software development or related technology
- OR 3+ years’ technical program or technical project management experience supporting mission critical IT equipment, operations, software development or related technology.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology, computer science, or equivalent work experience
- OR at least 3+ years’ experience in data center-related functions for large enterprise organizations with experience in a production, mission-critical, 24×7 operations environment.
- Experience with Project and Program management in large complex, cross-functional organizations.
- Experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
- Experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
Data Center Operations Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $99,000 – $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $129,500 – $216,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Support a strategic vision and implementation plan for regional datacenter operations that will position the organization for future capacity and growth.
- Plan, manage, and communicate end-to-end project plans with stakeholders and teams.
- Define and prioritize program(s) success criteria and performance metrics, communicating tradeoffs and delivering results.
- Drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and partnering with other departments to collect performance metrics.
- Collaborate with partners to resource plans for Break Fix operations, program and project delivery, and ongoing operational support.
- Collaborate with various Engineering, Operations, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Datacenter Build Managers, and Regional Technical Infrastructure Managers during Break Fix operations and project planning and execution.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution.
- Perform day-to-day project check-in and updates to manage Break Fix and project delivery and quality.
- Create and maintain a program to identify best-practices, design process and procedure documents, and socialize those across the region.
- Create lessons learned documentation, best practices, and innovations on existing process/procedures and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Establish data analytics to evaluate the process change efficiency and effectiveness.
