You will support both the transactional and operational accounting teams with weekly, monthly, and as assigned tasks. Wage: $88,870 – $100,950/year

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Assume accounting responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the Columbia Basin Operating Companies.

    • Update Tier Pricing Files
    • Royalty Entries and Reporting
    • Contract Clearance information gathering
    • Admin staff supervision
  • Responsible for assigned month end journal entries, monthly and quarterly reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation (and eventual responsibility) of local and regional budget and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in capex preparation, reporting, and oversight.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the five-year strategic plan.
  • Exposure to monthly and annual variance analysis of operational statistics/volumes, as well as cash flow, DSO, DPO, and other items assigned.
  • Support the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Asset accounting within the Shared Business Services team. Which may include account reconciliation, performance analysis, participation in process improvement teams, and developing relationships with the team members.
  • Maintain strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets and employees, ensuring compliance with SOX and other control processes and appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with CRH Americas Materials and Northwest Region accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with management to provide analytical support for improving financial performance, working capital management and key initiative achievement.
  • Lead and manage accounting staff for assigned operational areas, providing oversight and direction as needed, including hands-on assistance as appropriate; and to further their development and strengthen the finance organization.
  • Foster a success-oriented, continuous improvement environment within the organization.

  • Observe confidentiality of company information.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and/or 4+ years related experience desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software package. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.
  • Highly developed oral, verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
  • Ability to provide and understand detailed information.
  • Ability to analyze issues independently.
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment controlled substance testing
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or able to obtain by start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or construction accounting background highly desired.
  • Future Relocation for promotional opportunities highly preferred

Up to 10% Travel Potential between Columbia Basin Locations

This position may qualify for a hybrid schedule between working in the office and at home.
