Meet the Team:

Within the R&D Software Verification &Validation team, our goals are to be best in class in test strategy, automation, implementation, and efficiency while still having fun along the way. This staff level role will work cross-functionally within V&V, software development teams, and leadership to define, drive, and implement advanced automation tools, infrastructure, techniques, technology, and strategy across all project workstreams.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, experienced in test tools, test automation and infrastructure and be capable of making the changes necessary to increase the automation coverage, efficiency and effectiveness. He/she will have proven experience leading projects, in test framework design and implementation, CI/CD integration, daily regression environments, and broad knowledge of various test functions & types such as integration, functional, load/performance, user workflows, system, and mobile.

This Engineer will ensure the quality promise is upheld by measuring quality performance and making sure QA resources, tools, and processes are available to those who need them. They will facilitate communication between functional teams and work closely with team members to achieve results aligned with the overall project goal.

Where you come in:

  • You will design, develop, implement, execute and maintain automation tools to test the functionalities and performance of the Dexcom CGM software and systems
  • You support test teams and lab engineering staff to implement, maintain, troubleshoot and resolve test tools and infrastructure
  • You will collaborate with key stakeholders, both within and outside the V&V organization, to define goals, scope, and seek alignment of objectives
  • You understand and drive proficiency with software tools for test management, requirements management, engineering analysis, and statistical analysis
  • You will pro-actively identify and mitigate risks and resolve roadblocks
  • You will demonstrate technical project management skills on multi-year projects with multi-functional teams
  • You will create, review, and/or manage documentation of test tools to be in compliance with industry regulations
  • You are a team player and will lead by example

What makes you successful:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of Software Development or Software Tools Development related experience
  • You must be proficient with iOS and Swift programming language and have the ability to integrate them in large scale projects
  • You bring proven history of design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automation tools to test the functional specifications/requirements and performance of software and systems
  • You are knowledgeable with Java or Kotlin programming language and the ability to integrate them in large scale projects
  • You exhibit a high degree of diligence in coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and attention to detail
  • You have prior CI/CD implementation experience and knowledge of SDLC
  • You are proficient with Object Oriented Language and Source Control Tool
  • You have a strong communication and influence skills. Ability to communicate (verbal and writing) with engineers, management as well as across the organization
  • You are proficient with software tools for requirements management, test case management, and engineering analysis
  • You have demonstrated technical project management skills on multi-year projects with multi-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You should have experience working in a regulated industry
  • You should have hands-on experience with Appium, XCUITest, Jira, Device Farm, Espresso Test Framework, Spring Framework, and/or TestRail Test Management Platform
  • You could have experience with Agile software development and test organization
  • You could have a track record of mentoring

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

Exempt Salary Details:

  • The annual base salary range for this role is $116,600 to $194,400. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
