We’re looking for a full-time Regional Supervisor of Social Services (RSSS) for the South Bay Region! The mission of LifeSTEPS is to provide effective educational and supportive services to maximize the strengths of individuals and build resilient communities. The Regional Supervisor of Social Services II (RSSSII) will provide regional administrative support to the Regional Director of Social Services (RDSS) and manage the After School Programs within the region. The RSSSII is expected to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment when implementing and coordinating tasks for the RDSS and must have the ability to handle shifting priorities and multiple projects independently. Extensive travel will be required across both Santa Clara and Monterey counties.

Core Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cultivate, articulate and live out the LifeSTEPS workplace values of integrity, innovation, empowerment, respect and personal growth in tandem with the Oz Principle.
- Follow all LifeSTEPS policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure that community programs and case management are developed and followed at all sites within the assigned region.
- Support the development and administration of standards and procedures related to staff, training and on-going communication, budget, reimbursement requests and timecards.
- Recruit resident services staff and work collaboratively with HR to provide strong start onboarding and effective new hire training.
- Work collaboratively to support organizational growth, to include expansion of region with partners and properties.
- Empower staff to manage competing priorities, projects and all aspects of resident service delivery
SupervisoryResponsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, specified grant requirements, and specified contract/program requirements.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, forecasting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Oversee onsite programs and conducts quarterly onsite visits to properties to ensure agency meets standards and procedures criteria.
- Review content of database entries, monthly service reports, and any other required reports; ensure they are accurate and turned in by applicable due dates.
- Review case records, time cards and expense reimbursement report.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure that community programs and case management are developed at all assigned sites.
- Provide feedback and complete quarterly compliance audits.
- Oversee required staff trainings as determined by LifeSTEPS management, applicable laws, and contracts/program requirements.
- Assist in providing training, oversight and supervision of staff and volunteers in the assigned region.
- Conduct training calls with assigned staff.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain a variety of reports.
- Participate in planning and hosting special events.
- Submit regional impact (success) stories and requests for activity pictures each month as assigned.
- Assist in the processing of the Client Assistance Program.
- Make reports to Child Protective Services or Adult Protective Services as mandated reporters.
- Act as a community liaison for LifeSTEPS.
- May need to work some evenings and weekends in order to attend events or address situations of crisis.
- Extensive travel within assigned region; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
Education and/or Experience and/or License Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a similar environment providing social services.
- Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
