Description
Regional Vice President of Sales – Mountain Position Summary:
At Teacher Created Materials, we are passionate about developing innovative and imaginative educational materials and services for K-12 students worldwide. Everything we do is created by teachers for teachers and students to make teaching more effective and learning more fun. Our Sales teams work with state, school district and school customers to identify their needs and provide curriculum and professional development solutions.
The Region Vice President of Sales – South, is responsible for cultivating high performance teams focused on the sales of educational curriculum products into PreK-12 school districts across the Southern area states.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Hire, recruit, train and develop outside sales consultants
- Strong leadership and management of region Sales Directors, Senior Sales Consultants, and Sales Consultants
- Develop short and long term regional sales plans and manage the sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Set region objectives, measure sales activity and evaluate performance against objectives
- Develop new business opportunities leveraging network of customers, current client relationships, and prospect leads.
- Find/develop selling strategies for our extensive product line
- Consultative sales of large deals with sales cycles of 6-24 months
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers to deliver company-wide objectives
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience as a sales leader with a proven track record of exceeding targets by growing and managing high performing sales teams
- Proven success leading teams selling into multi-layer organizations
- Consultative sales experience closing large, complex sales
- Proven success negotiating mutually beneficial large sales
- Ability to track multiple funding sources at the state, federal, and local level and deploying sales strategies to align products with customer initiatives
- Experience working with bids, contracts, and RFPs
- Energetic, self-starter with strong work ethic and excellent track record of success
- Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong business and technical knowledge
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Excellent motivator and mentor
- Experience using Salesforce.com
- BS/BA required
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent regional travel by car or plane
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. when traveling and/or carrying materials to and from sales meetings and destinations.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Work Conditions:
