What are we looking for in our Registered Nurse – MS/Tele ?
Responsibilities:
Floating Expectation: Travelers are expected to float to other Medical/Surgical or Telemetry areas, which may include COVID care units. In the event a traveler requests time off for a scheduled weekend shift, they will be required to compensate for the missed weekend shifts based on unit requirements. Frequent floating may be necessary.
Weekend Commitment: Travelers are scheduled to work every other weekend.
Patient Conditions Treated: Our primary focus is on caring for stroke patients, and we also provide support for potential neurosurgery cases. Additionally, we attend to various other neurological diagnoses, including epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and a range of similar conditions.
Skills and Certifications:
Minimum Required Experience: 1 year of professional experience Traveler Experience: First-time travelers will not be accepted. A minimum of 1 year of travel experience is required, with a preference for 2 years of prior travel experience. Local Applicants Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Required Skills: Proficiency in IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, and Medical/Surgical neuro experience Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health), NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
*The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Rate/Salary: Pay Range: $1,800 – $2,000 weekly
