Responsibilities
There are currently 3 openings. The shifts are as follows:
1) .9 FTE (72 hours/per 2wk pay period) Varying 8 and 12 hour shifts beginning at 330p till 7am. Every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year rotating, working the hours of 630pm-7am.
2) .9 FTE (72 hours/per 2wk pay period) This is an evening/night position working a 6-week rotation. Hours are 8- and 12-hour shifts during the week and 12-hour shifts on the weekends. Earliest start time is 330p and latest end time is 5a. This position works every third weekend and 2 major holidays a year that are on a rotation. Weekend shifts are 12 hours working 430p-5a.
3) .75 FTE (60 hours/per 2wk pay period) This position is primarily days working 8- and 12-hour shifts during the week and 12-hour shifts on the weekends. Earliest start time is 4a and latest end time is 8p. We will provide an example of the base before the interview. Weekend schedule is every third weekend and two major holidays a year that rotate. Weekend hours for this position are 630a-7p.
This is an On Site position. Applicants must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Rochester, MN campus.
The Registration Representative may be responsible for the accurate check-in/admissions of incoming patients in the hospital setting as well ED setting. This includes the verification of patient demographic information, collection of insurance data, the identification and/or creation of appropriate accounts, and the collection of indicated co-payments and/or share of cost. The Registration Representative is required to ensure patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtain the appropriate consents as required. This role requires adherence to quality assurance guidelines as well as established productivity standards to support the work unit’s performance expectations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and 2 or more years of relevant experience required
OR
Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to read and communicate effectively. Basic computer/keyboarding skills, intermediate mathematic competency. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and phone handling skills. Position requires good communication skills. Prior desk, appointment, or secretarial experience and a working knowledge of scheduling systems and procedures are preferred. Incumbents must have the ability to interact on a professional level with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and maintain working knowledge of systems and processes related to patient registration and scheduling activities. Experience using an Epic RC/EMR system is preferred.
