The Job
As the System Administrator for Omnidian, you will be responsible for leading and developing Omnidian’s IT program. You will support employees by troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues; develop processes and procedures to support company growth; collaborate with our infosec team on security and risk management initiatives; manage relationships with external vendors; and take on project management responsibilities for topics covered and above and more.

What You’ll Do

-Oversee administration and support responsibilities for end-user Windows and Mac workstations, office software, and licensing for a remote team
-Establish designs, processes, policies, and standards for use, access, maintenance, and security of hardware and software assets
-Manage incoming IT requests and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
-Evaluate and approve purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, outside services, and software
-Manage a variety of third party service and hardware providers, software licenses, and support agreements
-Compliance management, including collaborating with Omnidian’s Information Security team on risk management topics and other security initiatives
-Work with senior-level stakeholders across the company to ensure the IT team is aligned with company priorities and can support growth

Experience
- 3 to 5 years experience in IT or related fields
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field
- Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Azure is a plus
- Experience effectively managing Mac and Windows computer systems
- Experience with VOIP phone systems
- Familiarity with MDM software solutions and implementation
Preferred (but not Required) Skills and Qualifications
- Experience administering firewalls, networking equipment, and wireless systems including certifications
- Scripting and automation experience including but not limited to PowerShell and windows command line
- Familiarity with identity provider services, such as Okta
- Prior experience as a level 2 IT support technician (or higher)
- Administration skills
- Solar industry experience

$72,000 – $100,000 a year
Salary Band Philosophy:
-We place candidates within the band based on professional experience rather than negotiating skills as part of our overall effort to promote pay equity.
-If you’re a high potential candidate that needs additional training and support, we’re willing to bring you below the midpoint and invest in your success.
-If you’re a candidate with particularly deep experience and expertise, we’re willing to bring you in above the midpoint.
-Most candidates come in at the midpoint, and all employees have the ability to move up in their band through annual merit increases (and move to the next band through promotions).
Total Compensation
-Up to 15% bonus, paid quarterly. Eligibility begins 90 days after hire date, and is determined by company success and individual impact
-100% of health insurance monthly premiums paid for employees, and 50% health insurance premiums covered for dependents
