This is a salaried position at the Weyerhaeuser – Longview Lumber manufacturing facility located in Longview, Washington
The Reliability Leader is responsible for driving reliability improvements throughout the operation. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Key Functions:
- The Reliability Manager is expected to be a role model for our core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability, and inclusion.
- Develop and manage all reliability activities, with the Safety of associates and contractors being the highest priority
- Implement Weyerhaeuser Standard Manufacturing Processes (SMPs) across the site
- Lead the Root Cause Analysis process
- Own the mill’s reliability roadmap and provide monthly metrics and status reports to Senior Management
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Develop and deliver reliability training for maintenance and operations
- Facilitate problem solving and team meetings
- Be an integral part of the maintenance leadership team and support reliability and continuous improvement efforts,
- Directly manage the predictive maintenance team
- Partner with operations and maintenance to record failures with Event Response Forms, video and alarm system logs
- Support the preventative maintenance program to address previous or anticipated failure modes
- Use data and observation to identify constraints and work with the team to improve performance
- Use tools and techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, Criticality Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
- Provide cost-effective solutions & manage budgets
- Track, trend and report on key performance indicators and help drive improvement
- Support and/or lead capital projects
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to ensure reliability processes are thoroughly tracked
Qualifications
- Manufacturing knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate, engage, and develop strong teams
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Proven ability to drive and achieve results
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership style
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays when operating conditions require
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Lumber manufacturing experience
- Certified Reliability Leadership designation
- MLT/MLA certification
- Three (3) years experience as a maintenance leader in a manufacturing facility
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $77k – $116k based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full time employees
