Work Arrangements:

REMOTE: Qualified candidates (outside of hub locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

HYBRID: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

State Farm is focused on modernization efforts within the Property & Casualty systems. You’ll be spending most of your time writing code in a small product team. We like to use mob and paired programming along with individual development. As an experienced developer, you’ll also be helping the team produce the highest quality software possible by collaborating on design and code reviews. You’ll be working with PolicyCenter along with building restful integration services and interaction with many other product teams across State Farm. Your team will own product(s) throughout the lifecycle and deploy often using automated delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

We Are Looking For Candidates With Some of the Following Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Guidewire applications PolicyCenter
  • GOSU, GOSU Plugins, Screen Configuration
  • Familiar with test automation and various products (Codecept, Boost etc.)
  • Full Stack Development
  • Java/J2EE, SOAP/Restful webservices Development
  • XML, HTML/JSP, Spring MVC, CSS, AJAX, Junit
  • Version control tools experience such as GIT

Additional Skills:

  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Work experience in a collaborative team environment
  • Good understanding of Property Casualty Insurance
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill

Compensation Range: $85,500-$201,300

For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates:

Potential salary range: $85,500 – $228,750

Potential yearly inventive pay: up to 12% of base salary
