Rental Coordinator- Heavy Equipment
As a Rental Coordinator in the heavy equipment industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s rental services. You will be responsible for managing the rental process, maintaining equipment availability, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role. Additionally, you will coordinate the movement of rental equipment amongst various construction companies, both commercial and civil, ensuring the readiness of equipment and that inventory supply meets demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
- Interact with customers to understand their equipment rental requirements.
- Provide information about available equipment, rental terms, and pricing.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the rental process.
Rental Process Management:
- Coordinate equipment reservations and rental agreements.
- Schedule equipment deliveries and pickups.
- Monitor equipment availability and maintenance schedules.
- Track rental contracts and ensure timely invoicing.
Equipment Movement Coordination:
- Facilitate the movement of rental equipment among various construction companies, both commercial and civil.
- Ensure equipment is ready and properly maintained for delivery to clients.
- Coordinate logistics to meet demand and minimize downtime.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure rented equipment is in optimal condition.
- Schedule routine inspections and maintenance as needed.
- Address customer concerns regarding equipment performance promptly.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate rental records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and rental policies.
- Assist customers in completing necessary paperwork.
Inventory Management:
- Keep track of equipment inventory and availability.
- Coordinate with procurement to replenish equipment as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits.
Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate rental status updates to customers.
- Generate reports on rental activity, equipment utilization, and revenue.
- Share insights with management to optimize rental operations.
Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve customer concerns and issues professionally.
- Collaborate with the team to find solutions to rental challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous experience in rental coordination or related customer service field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using rental management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and their operational principles.
