The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Reporting Analyst I to work a hybrid schedule from one of the following locations: Plano, TX; San Antonio, TX; Charlotte, NC; or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.
In this role you will be responsible for creating new, modifying existing, and performing ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decisions making. Develops and understanding of the business/customer and builds positive relationships with partner. Delivers value through data analysis and reporting and adapts to changing business needs.
What you’ll do:
- Facilitates business projects of complex size and visibility ensuring customers champion decision-making data needs.
- Develops business solutions, including data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.
- Demonstrates an understanding of multiple data structures and sources to perform complex data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.
- Recognizes the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.
- Supports development of innovative reporting and requirement gathering approaches to address business problems and solutions.
- Ensures that operational reports are complete and provide accurate data to enable business functions to carry on day-to-day operations.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree (8 years total experience).
- 4 years of experience in data analysis/extraction, statistics, data management, analytics and/or data reporting.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills.
What sets you apart:
- 2+ years’ experience creating Tableau dashboard reporting to support AML Business unit, and good SQL/ SAS/ Python skills.
- Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
- Experience with establishing controls to ensure reporting accuracy and quality to communicate complex concepts effectively at all levels of management, both written and oral presentation forum.

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670 – $150,330.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
