Reporting and Performance Tracking Lead

Overview

The Reporting and Performance Tracking Lead is responsible for supporting the GBS Control AP team in managing Operational and Financial Reporting and AP Performance Tracking.

The primary focus of this position is to support the GBS leadership in preparing financial and operational reports to provide insightful and meaningful information to GBS Control business partners (e.g., PepsiCo Sectors, Global Procurement, Global Functions) and drive Periodic Operational Reviews.

In addition, this role will partner with the GBS Control AP Tower leads in validating, analyzing and tracking Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) performance and ensuring alignment on goals and priorities, timely resolution of SLA deviations and understanding challenges to proactively address them.

The incumbent will also coordinate and execute Period Close financial reporting activities for the U.S. Sectors supported by GBS Control as they relate to AP, manage balance sheet reviews and reconciliations.

The individual will interact with multiple stakeholders and functions within PepsiCo and several external providers with focus on reporting, control and AP performance tracking. Partnering with this role there are seven BPO full time employees.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operational reports and business presentations to strengthen partnership across PepsiCo functions and Sectors supported by GBS Control
  • Support GBS Leadership in the preparation of the GBS Control Periodic Operational Reviews, including variance analysis and explanations
  • Lead Key Performance Indicator tracking by supporting the data validation, calculation, analysis and enhancement of metrics used to measure BPO processes and performance
  • Partner with BPO provider to ensure alignment on goals and priorities, timely resolution of issues, and to understand challenges to proactively address them
  • Coordinate and execute the financial period close process, ensuring activities are performed in a complete, accurate and timely manner for all Sectors/businesses supported by the GBS Control AP team
  • Perform account reconciliations and develop financial and operational reports required for financial, operation and compliance purposes
  • Support the team in the preparation of the Quarterly Balance Sheet reviews including account analysis and variance explanations
  • Ensure all processes operate within a well-controlled environment, supporting the GBS Control AP team in driving control testing of key operating and SOX controls
  • Assist the AP GBS Control team fulfilling requirements from internal and external audits
  • Coordinate a team of seven FTE part of the BPO Reporting and performance Tracking team, ensuring BPO organization capacity and capabilities is adequate to run the Reporting and Performance Tracking processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant business experience and practical exposure in some of the following roles: financial reporting and controls, operational performance monitoring, financial audit, service relationship management, payables management
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills; translating data into insights
  • Capable of building collaborative relationships to work effectively with others
  • Ability to perform ad hoc analysis that lead to problem solving and business improvement recommendations
  • Ability to drive for results in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail, learning agility, curiosity and interest to gain deeper insights that provide value added. Adherence to processes, policies and controls (Control Mindset)

Perferred Requirements:

  • Capable of translating analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to independently develop the materials and deliver effective presentations to sr. level executives
  • Balancing sense of urgency with the need to deliver quality results, demonstrating perseverance in achieving complex or ambiguous goals.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $74,800-$125,250 based on a full-time schedule
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement
