Research Aide

About This Role:

The Division of Biology is seeking a Research Aide to assist with data collection on research projects. The technician will collect and record field data electronically on locations and habitat use by mourning doves in remote areas.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience in capture and handling birds, vhf radio telemetry, vegetation identification of prairie plants.
  • Direct experience with capturing and handling Dove in Kansas.
  • Ability to use Excel and other basic computer programs for data entry, skilled in equipment and vehicle maintenance.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
  • Valid Drivers license upon employment
