Research Associate II/Facility Security Officer (FSO) II

Responsibilities

Research Analyst:

Performs research, collection and collation of data from technical studies. Responsible for the compilation of data, and preparation of inputs into larger reports. Performs assessments and projections as part of analysis process. Develops technical reports and briefings, project deliverables, monthly status reports and other finished products. May draft policy recommendations for environmental, habitat, and species protection. Interfaces with external entities to collect data. Uses and/or develops computer tools to facilitate analysis tasks. Prepares monthly status reports. May be assigned to customer site and participates in meetings as the representative of the company. May prepare and present technical briefings to customer and upper management. May be required to train customer personnel in analysis methods and/or findings. May also work as political activists who encourage politicians to change laws that help protect dwindling populations.

Facility Security Officer:

Manage and support coordination of day-to-day operations of the facility, and work with the Security team performing the following actions:

    • Verify security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants.
    • Oversee security clearance process for employees; process personnel, facility clearance information, periodic reinvestigations, manage the Facility Personnel Security Information related files.
    • Develop and provide security-related briefings and training required by NISPOM and Peraton Organization.
    • Develop and provide foreign pre/post travel briefings in accordance to government requirements.
    • Track and notify personnel of periodic reinvestigations.
    • Prepares and report security relevant information as directed by the customer
    • Manage/maintain the facility clearance documents.
    • Ensure the proper preparation and review of draft/original/revised DD254s.
    • Track status of contracts and provide updates to the security manager.
    • Lead self-inspections and DCSA assessments of programs.

Qualifications

-BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10

-Secret Clearance required

-Minimum 2+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.

-Knowledge using government security regulations, manuals, and processes.

-Knowledge in working with the Department of Defense policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Target Salary Range

$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
