Career Summary:
The Research and Quality Analyst provides data management, collection, analysis, reporting, evaluation, survey research, project management and project support functions for the Institute for Nursing Research and Quality Management under the direction of the Assistant Director Research Operations. The incumbent will assist department team members and collaborate with program staff to accomplish research and quality-related activities for the ANA Enterprise and ANCC’s individual and organizational credentialing programs: Certification, Measurement Services, Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) and Joint Accreditation, Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) and Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation (APPFA), Magnet Recognition Program, and Pathway to Excellence.
Education/Related Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specialized work experience required on a social science or health-related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in social science or other research field and/or quality management, including use of data collection, analysis, and reporting software such as Survey Monkey, Qualtrics or Alchemer, and PowerBI. Some knowledge of relational databases.
Skills/Additional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of scientific applied research methods and common statistical techniques and terminology for research analysis (for example, descriptive stats, graphing, trending, and themes)
• Ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze complex databases
• Ability to interpret and present research findings in a clear and non-technical manner
• Ability to develop and interpret statistical data charts, tables, and visualizations
• Skill in project management, high level of ability organizing data and files
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to be flexible and re-prioritize tasks within fluid situations
• Ability to solve problems, exercise independent judgment, and show initiative
• Interest in the broad field of health care and its data applications and technical
terminology especially in the field of nursing research
• Sensitivity to use of confidential and secure data
Work Schedule:
Hybrid: Employees are considered Hybrid if they are regularly scheduled to work in at least 20% of their work week or work month in an ANA Enterprise Office.
Hybrid employees are expected to travel to the office when requested and/or when necessary to achieve results or meet business needs.

- The ANA Enterprise will hire primarily from the District of Columbia (DC), Maryland (MD), and Virginia (VA).
