Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Research Technician II – In Vitro (Rodent Facility) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in South San Francisco, CA.

What you will do!
In this role, you will develop and implement exploratory and validation in vitro studies. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in basic in-vitro laboratory techniques and follow the detailed protocols to execute molecular, cellular, and biochemistry experiments to support in vivo translational research. You will work closely with team members to develop and optimize fit-for-purpose assays, such as ELISA, Western blots simple molecular biology techniques like, RNA isolation/qPCR and library preparations for single cell sequencing. You must have the ability to assist In vivo scientists with tissue harvest and sample preparation for downstream processing. You will also coordinate work with external CROs and internal technology collaborators. You will document experimental data in technical notebooks or approved electronic files including activities undertaken, existing conditions, observed results and variation from expected data patterns. You will also maintain accurate records of experimental procedures as well as prepare data for inclusion in project reports and perform all other related duties as assigned.
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a B.S. or A.S. degree in a Life Science discipline, such as biology, veterinary science, or a related field and 1 – 2 years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. AALAS Certification at the LATG level preferred.
The pay range for this position is $38.00 – 43.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
