Research Technology Lead (Radar)

Responsibilities

Performs detailed technical research on ground-based air defense radars and associated systems in support of Integrated Technical Evaluation and Analysis of Multiple Sources projects. Characterizes and assesses vulnerabilities and develops reports detailing adversary radar threats to U.S. and allied forces to enhance existing and future defensive capabilities. Apply knowledge of networks, technology, and experience with customer tools and databases to identify, extract, and analyze pertinent information and provide technical analysis to enhance existing and future capabilities. Provides support to enable operational and strategic assessments using all-source, including GEOINT, ELINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, and OSINT, intelligence by researching, authoring, coordinating, and collaborating with the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD). Serves as the radar Research and Technology Subgroup Lead, leading a team of research analysts on key radar technologies to include but not limited to, components for phased array radars, computing capabilities, and innovating signal processing techniques. May supervise junior staff and schedule work to meet completion dates. Communicates and collaborates effectively and efficiency with other highly technical government and contractor engineers assigned to the complex project. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Prepares written, technical reports to management, indicating findings.

Qualifications

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Knowledge of foreign design institutes responsible for developing the weapon systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of specialized experience and expertise on foreign weapon research using all-source intelligence data

Target Salary Range

$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
