Location: This position could primarily be remote, but proximity to an Elevance Health major office (pulse point) is a plus. Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Researcher, Sr is responsible for prospective and retrospective health economic or epidemiologic research activities for Public Policy Institute (PPI).

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading or supporting scientific aspects of research activities as Principal Investigator in the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting.
  • Uses subject matter expertise in leading or supporting the development of protocols, statistical analysis plans, review of statistical output, reports, and publications.
  • Is accountable to the final quality and accuracy of these study deliverables and presentation of such and facilitates collaboration among project team members towards their development.
  • Manages relationship with internal clients, communicates scientific decisions, and presents key study insights to the clients.
  • Disseminates research externally via peer-reviewed manuscripts, white papers, and conference presentations.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a MS, MPH or PharmD in epidemiology or health sciences or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MS, MPH, PhD, MD, or PharmD in public health or policy or related field; PhD strongly preferred.
  • Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience in conducting observational research studies.
  • Understanding of the U.S. health care system and claims data strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $88,000 to $158,400.00
