What you’ll do
As a Resident Monitor you will be responsible for guiding, assisting and providing support to residents in their transition back into community life by carrying out the day-to-day operations of a Pioneer residential reentry program. The Resident Monitor I is responsible for ensuring program and facility safety, monitoring resident movement, verifying resident employment, and supporting structured cognitive and behavioral-based programming designed to promote risk reduction and successful community reintegration.

As a member of the PHS team, the Resident Monitor I collaborates with other staff and community partners to promote a pro-social and supportive program climate that encourages the development of independent living skills. A resident monitor is encouraged to make recommendations to operational policies and procedures consistent with program goals and the agency mission.

What you’ll bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferably you’ll bring

  • Two-year college level education
  • 6 months of experience working in the human services or criminal justice and/or correctional system(s) including internships and/or volunteer placements.
