Role description:

The Resident Project Representative will become a member of our talented team of construction management professionals that focus on delivering outstanding client service, helping them program, plan, and deliver infrastructure, building, and engineering projects. Services include observing construction activities, coordinating with the owner, contractor, and engineer, and other tasks indicated below through the construction phase of this exciting and challenging project, and future projects. In this role you will use your knowledge of construction and project management to successfully deliver projects to our clients. You will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and end-users, demonstrating a strong understanding of the process. We’re looking for candidates that want to change the industry through determination, education, and leadership.

Role accountabilities:

  • Provide onsite construction management services for our client’s projects in the areas of quality control, schedule management, cost and change management, document control and project communications.
  • Maintain detailed daily field reports and as-built drawings.
  • Produce project progress reports and briefings for the client.
  • Review contractor’s monthly payment applications and provide recommendations.
  • Develop independent cost estimates for change orders during construction and assist with change order negotiations with the client.
  • Perform reviews of the contractor’s baseline and monthly schedule updates and record field progress as it relates to the contractor’s schedule.
  • Attend and occasionally conduct progress meetings, including reviewing/developing meeting minutes.
  • Manage the project documents and communications through contract/document management software.
  • Establish a culture of health and safety on the project.
  • Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of relevant RPR- or construction management-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.

Key Attributes

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter approach to delivering successful projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing detailed daily field reports and monthly progress reports.
  • Experience and knowledge of various construction trades such as civil/site, structural, electrical, HVAC, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, and plumbing work.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining punch lists, deficiency logs and maintain timely communications with the contractor.
  • Experience in construction management.
  • Experience with project schedules. Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Experience developing cost estimates.
  • Proficiency using smart technology and Microsoft Office.
  • Water and wastewater (treatment plants, pump stations, utilities) construction experience is a plus.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $97,000-146,000.
