Residential Program Manager – Valencia County

$1,250 Hiring Bonus

General Description Of Duties: Responsible for the overall operation, administrative duties and supervision of staff at a single residential home. Requires shift work and on-call responsibilities. Required to carry a cell phone at all times in order to be the first responder to emergencies that may arise at assigned home. Must be self-directed. Learns and utilizes resources with guidance. Implements policies, procedures and training programs to develop or increase skill/productivity in vocational and/or daily living tasks of individual clients; participates in the ISP process; assists in the admission of new clients/associate employees to assigned residence. Ensures staff training requirements are current; ensures staff are scheduled for required trainings; maintains positive working relationships and professional level contacts with individuals or entities. Attends/conducts various meetings as required. Interviews new candidates and makes recommendations; conducts performance reviews, recommends disciplinary actions for assigned staff; performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Training: Must be at least 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) year experience working directly with DD adults in a residential environment required. Associates degree in related human services field preferred. One year supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must be pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. Must have computer experience. Knowledge of local resources available for coordination of programs and community outings is a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. sporadically. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
